It’s the third publication date of the month, which means an update post wherein I’ll tell you what changes (if any) are coming to IGreviews and what to expect in the coming months.
Also, an early happy 4th of July to my American readers! Now let’s get started!
No More Update Posts
Going forward I will use Notes for updates rather than an infrequent post. This means third publication dates will be ordinary book reviews, film studies or whatever. This will improve IGreviews in two ways. First, it gives me an extra date to publish. This is handy because there are many article ideas and so few publishing dates. Also, in the case of time sensitive reviews this will give me more flexibility. Second, Notes will allow me to communicate changes instantly. Readers will no longer have to wait for an update post.
Be sure to follow me on Notes!
School Starts
I begin my master’s program in August. I am not sure how this will affect IGreviews, but I’m sure it will. As already stated, please consult Notes for updates and changes.
Summer Film Study Class
Speaking of school … Due to a lack of participation I will not conduct my yearly film study class as a yearly class. Instead, I will pepper in classic film reviews and studies throughout the year. The goal will be the same: to teach appreciation for film as an art form. This format also will allow for smaller, one-off essays on topics that cannot be developed into a full six-week course but are valuable, nonetheless.
Books and Original Fiction
I have been reading a lot of fiction in an effort to spark my own creative fire. Some progress has been made but nothing to announce yet. Once again check Notes for future announcements.
