I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. If you don’t remember what things were like back then, I envy you. The world was in a recession while I was looking to join the withering world of journalism. After repeated failed attempts to become a writer I became despondent. I gave up.
But this is not a sob story. I’m back.
I will be using this news letter to write critiques, reviews and commentaries on all things that can widely be considered art or literature. Anything can be art (emphasis on can be). For example, videos games can be art. Although, many of them are not.
Chiefly, however, I will focus on audio books because that is the main way I ingest media these days. What a wonderful blessing audio books have been for me! I can read so many more books now that I can listen to them in “found time” - that is, while doing menial chores like washing the dishes.
I hope you will join me as I embark on a new adventure, or the proverbial next chapter. I hope you and I will become we - a community for thoughtful discussions on the humanities. Please subscribe. Tell a friend. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
T. C. ~The Inverted Gentleman
I pondered the meaning of "art" in film and came up with a thesis that I published here:
What Defines A Great Film?

I hope we're in agreement!
